To kick off 2019, two new tasting menus have arrived in Dan Moon at The Gainsborough Restaurant.

The 5-course menu includes dishes such as chicken tea with textures of onion, sautéed scallop with shellfish risotto, yuzu, king prawn seaweed and smoked filet of beef with pané quail egg, foie gras and fennel. For dessert, treat yourself to a refreshing lemon mousse with cranberry sorbet, lemon balm, meringue and passion fruit.

If you’re after more, the 7-course menu includes  Jerusalem artichoke velouté served with goat’s curd, black truffle and sherry vinegar gel. For a little indulgence, the dark chocolate delice with salted caramel ice cream, hazelnuts, and vanilla is definitely not one to be missed.

Hotel Endsleigh will be holding an upholstery skills workshop with Steve Arnold.  In this workshop he will be teaching you, padding – buttoning and hand tacking.

Using these skills you will make a notice board measuring 60 x 40 cm which you can take home and keep or give as a gift.  All materials, a two course lunch and tea and coffee are included in the course.

This is a fun workshop for all abilities so don’t worry if you are a complete beginner.  (When booking please advise of any dietary requirements)

Join International Colour Curator, Joa Studholme for an afternoon of inspiration. Set within four acres of gardens, enjoy canapés and prosecco on arrival followed by a sumptuous two-course lunch at the honey-coloured Georgian house.

Afterwards, Joa will share her top tips and tricks for bringing your home to life with paint and paper, before answering any decorating conundrums. Featuring inspiring insights from Recipes for Decorating, a new book brimming with beautiful photos of real Farrow & Ball homes and the schemes to help you recreate the look. Joa’s talk is sure to leave you full of ideas for transforming your own interiors.

Joa Studholme has worked with Farrow & Ball for over 20 years. From developing and naming new Farrow & Ball colours to consulting on design schemes and experimenting with paint and paper every day, Joa has a wealth of experience on both residential and commercial projects. A self-confessed ‘colour geek’, Joa’s passion for interior design means her own home is under constant renovation and she confesses to redecorating at least once a month.

Mother’s Day Flower Arranging Masterclass

Head Gardener, Jane Moore and local florist, Deb England will host a special flower arranging masterclass, demonstrating how to put together two stunning floral creations using flowers from our beautiful spring garden.

From a teacup and saucer to a small vase, learn how to craft two unique flower arrangements as Jane and Deb share their top tips. A sumptuous afternoon tea of freshly cut sandwiches, delicious homemade cakes and warm scones with clotted cream and a local preserve will then be served before you take home your creations just in time for Mother’s Day.
