  • After the free issue, your plan auto-renews at £7 every 3 months until you cancel or pause.
  • Cancel or pause anytime from your account.
  • No returns on magazines once dispatched. Replacements offered for damaged items.

1) The offer

  1. When you purchase Trencherman’s Guide from our online store, Salt Media will send a unique one-time code by email.
  2. Redeem the code at checkout to start a Food Lifestyle subscription and receive the first issue free (payment details required for future renewals).
  3. After your free issue is dispatched, the subscription continues automatically at £7 every 3 months until you cancel or pause.

2) Eligibility & limits

  • Offer valid on qualifying purchases made on this website only.
  • One free-trial code per customer/household.
  • Codes are non-transferable, not for resale, and no cash value.
  • Not valid for customers with an active Food Lifestyle subscription at the time of redemption (former subscribers who are not currently active may be eligible).
  • We may refuse, suspend or cancel a trial where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or ineligibility.

3) Code delivery & expiry

  • Your code is emailed to the address used at checkout for Trencherman’s Guide.
  • If you do not receive it within a reasonable timeframe, check spam/junk and then contact support.
  • Unless otherwise stated in the email, codes expire 6 months after issue and have no value if unredeemed.

4) Subscription & billing

  • By redeeming the code and starting the subscription, you authorise us and our payment processor to charge £7 every 3 months to your saved payment method until you cancel or pause.
  • Taxes and shipping (if applicable) are calculated at checkout for each issue.
  • We may change the renewal price or billing cycle for future periods; where required by law, we’ll notify you in advance and changes will apply to subsequent renewals.

5) Managing your plan (cancel, pause, skip)

  • You can cancel anytime before the next renewal date to avoid further charges.
  • You can pause/suspend or skip a delivery from the subscription portal (subject to cut-off dates displayed there).
  • Cancelling or pausing does not refund any charge already processed; it stops future renewals.

Access: use the “Manage Subscription” link in your order/renewal emails or log into My Account with the same email used at checkout.

6) Delivery schedule

  • Food Lifestyle is a quarterly print magazine (approximately every 3 months).
  • Dispatch dates may vary due to production or carrier delays. We’ll keep you updated where possible.

7) Failed payments & card updates

  • If a renewal fails, we will retry and/or email you to update card details.
  • If payment remains unsuccessful, we may pause or cancel your subscription.

8) Address changes

  • Update your shipping address in the portal before the cut-off shown there.
  • Changes after the cut-off may take effect from the next issue.

9) Returns, refunds & damaged items

  • Magazines are non-returnable once dispatched.
  • If your copy arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days with photos and your order number; we’ll arrange a replacement or refund (at our discretion).
  • Subscription charges already processed are non-refundable; you may cancel to stop future renewals.

10) Fair use & misuse

  • We may limit, suspend or cancel the free trial or subscription where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, reselling or violation of these terms.

11) Privacy

  • We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy for order fulfilment, subscription management and billing.
  • Payment details are handled by our payment processor; Salt Media does not store full card numbers.

12) Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms to reflect changes to the offer, pricing, delivery or applicable law. Material changes will be posted here and, where required, notified to you.

13) Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
