Celebrated chef and Trencherman’s committee chair Michael Caines MBE makes London debut as culinary strategist at The Stafford London
The Stafford Collection is known for exceptional service and quality culinary experiences. Now, it enters a new chapter with the arrival of Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines MBE, who has been appointed culinary strategist for The Stafford London, located in St James’s.
The Stafford is home to The Game Bird restaurant and the American Bar, and the hotelis renowned as a destination for discerning diners. Michael’s role will be to evolve the hotel’s culinary journey, working with the team elevate dining experiences in the hotel.
Michael shares his excitement: ‘I am thrilled to be joining The Stafford London and honoured to be part of this exciting new chapter. It feels like a natural fit for me, having worked in luxury five-star hotels from early on in my career. I am looking forward to working with the exceptional talent that makes up the team within the hotel, and together delivering unforgettable culinary experiences.‘
Michael regularly appears on TV cooking shows such as Sunday Brunch, Great British Menu, and Cooking with the Stars. He also shapes the next generation of chefs via the Michael Caines Academy at Exeter College. Many of his trainees have earnt their own Michelin stars across the UK and Ireland. At Lympstone Manor, he pioneered the production of English wine from the hotel-restaurant’s vineyard. His contributions to the culinary world earnt him an MBE in 2006.
