Winners of the 2021 Virtual Trencherman’s Awards

Following over 10,000 reader votes we are thrilled to reveal the winners of the 2021 Virtual Trencherman’s Awards

The Trencherman’s Awards are renowned as the South West’s most prestigious restaurant accolades, and its ceremonies well-known as the best hospitality bash of the year thanks to multi-course menus (cooked by the previous year’s award winning chefs) and astonishing wine pairings. Of course, hosting an awards evening to celebrate the cream of the South West culinary crop has been impossible this year, but that’s not stopped us going virtual. Trencherman’s readers have risen to the challenge to support the awards by casting an incredible 10,000 votes.

One of the reasons for going ahead with the awards this year has been to support the hospitality industry through such an incredibly tough time. Trencherman’s editor Jo Rees says: ‘We want to show restaurants – whether small neighbourhood affairs, the Michelin-starred big names or the fine dining restaurants of upmarket foodie hotels – how much they are appreciated. They are at the heart of the South West’s vibrant food and drink culture, not just for the wonderful dining experiences they create but also because Trencherman’s restaurants are the businesses supporting South West farmers and fishermen and providing professional hospitality jobs in the region.

Well done everyone – and thank you to all of the Trencherman’s readers who voted this year. If you didn’t vote, sign up for the Trencherman’s weekly email newsletter here (we’ll send you restaurant reviews, comps, insider recipes and foodie news each week) and be the first to get access to voting in the future.
