Having run a series of successful restaurants in London, chef Cass Titcombe relocated to Dorset with his partner, designer Louise Chidgey, in 2014 to establish a business that would blend their skills and passions. The result? A design-led, family-run restaurant putting provenance front and centre.
Cass’s modern European cooking combines local produce with specialist ingredients, plus influences from Spain and Italy, to create dishes that sing with flavour.
The menu changes daily depending on what the kitchen team can get their hands on, as they endeavour to source all fresh ingredients from within 15 miles of the restaurant. They’re also committed to serving organic meat and dairy, alongside dayboat fish and Dorset-grown veg.
Breakfast, brunch and lunch menus extend the dining opportunities. Try the likes of cavatelli with roasted aubergines, courgettes, green beans and olives or whole grilled crevettes with garlic, chilli and parsley butter.
The Brassica family has grown since 2014. Adjacent to the restaurant is lifestyle store Brassica Mercantile, a veritable treasure trove of delicious edibles and homewares. Then there’s Brassica Forno in Bridport, which is a bakery, shop and production kitchen. It’s here that the team also produce their award-winning Brassica Handmade ready meals.
