Fine artisanal produce is the beating heart of this family-run restaurant, deli and wine shop. Run by Reuben Murray (youngest son of founders Gail and John), the business has served locals and visitors to the Victorian seaside town of Clevedon for almost 40 years.
It’s not just deli customers who get to delight in the quality ingredients; diners at the restaurant are also lucky beneficiaries. Imported foods are paired with seasonal South West produce, including fresh Cornish fish, to create Italian-style dishes with contemporary flair.
Plump for a selection of cicchetti to start – highlights include the beef bresaola with crispy roasted roman artichokes, Amalfi lemon mayo and capers, and charred long-stem broccoli with cumin, chilli, buffalo mozzarella and toasted almonds.
The line-up of mains includes the likes of handmade pasta, chicken milanese with potato rosti and spiced Sicilian tomato polpa, and aubergine parmigiano. Or keep it casual with authentic Italian pizza made with San Marzano tomatoes and fior di latte.
