A visit to The Collective at Woolsery is a rather special experience in one of the wildest and most unspoilt areas of the country
Based in the pretty north Devon village of Woolsery, The Collective (comprising award-winning dining pub The Farmers Arms, luxe self-catering cottages and rooms, a gourmet fish and chip shop, a charming shop and post office and a 150-acre farm) was conjured up by tech entrepreneurs Michael and Xochi Birch who have family connections to the area.
The winner of our competition and their plus one will be able to experience all that The Collective at Woolsery has to offer with a dinner, bed and breakfast package. A five-course meal at The Farmers Arms will be followed by a night’s stay in one of the beautiful Shop Rooms (with automatic upgrade to the best available room on arrival) and a hearty breakfast delivered in the morning.

The Farmers Arms has fast become one of the most sought-after dining spots in the region thanks to ticking just about every item on the ‘dream dining pub’ wish list: a creative chef crafting sublime dishes; its own farm supplying homegrown, reared and foraged produce; and an innovative drinks line-up including handcrafted cordials and own-infused spirits.
Enjoy a night’s slumber in style: The Collective’s accommodation has been awarded a prestigious One-Key MICHELIN rating and was included in The Times Top 100 Places to Stay in the UK in 2024. The shop rooms offer retro style and astonishing views.
