Parnham Park may be one of the oldest and most important houses in Dorset, but it’s also rewriting the traditional country house narrative. Heritage, community and ecology converge in an immersive destination grounded in nature, food, art and design.

While many of the plans of owners James and Sophie Perkins are still unfolding, the heart of the project is already established in the walled garden restaurant.

Its menus evolve weekly to reflect the latest ingredients harvested from the garden or sourced from local suppliers and fishing boats. While diners may opt for the seasonal dishes on the à la carte menu, those who relish sharing and discovery should choose the Just Feed Me menu. Guests hand over the decision-making to the chef and are presented with a rolling selection of seasonal dishes. Sourcing only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients means dishes such as hand-dived scallops with foraged estate wild garlic capture the flavour of the micro-season.

Relaxed seasonal breakfasts and a generous Sunday Lunch Club complete the picture and encourage conversation and connection around the table.
