In the heart of Poole’s Old Town, Guildhall Tavern is an established seafood and grill restaurant with more than 20 years of local pedigree.
Executive head chef and co-owner Sam Coltman works closely with local fishermen, resulting in a year-round offering of quality seafood that includes line-caught sea bass, Dover sole, skate, plaice, crab, lobster and oysters.
Expect dishes such as Poole Bay lobster, grilled with garlic and herb butter or served thermidor-style, alongside the likes of roasted cod with pancetta, peas, broad beans and duck-fat potatoes. The wine list ranges from Burgundy and a Super Tuscan to English sparkling wines produced just a few miles away.
The nautically styled Yacht Lounge adds another dimension to the experience and serves cocktails, wines by the glass, oysters, charcuterie and bar snacks. It also offers a space for private dining.
Guildhall Tavern joined the Michelin Guide in 2025 and has held two AA rosettes for the past five years.
