Event Details

Mark Hix (of Trencherman’s restaurant The Oyster & Fish House) has joined forces with renowned wild food expert, author and public speaker Miles Irving to create unique and bespoke foraging experiences, complete with a home-cooked meal at Mark’s Charmouth home.

The experience is available for groups of eight guests. Each experience will kick off with a coffee and snack at Mark’s home in Charmouth. Attendees will then travel to a local spot where Miles and Mark will educate guests on the wild edible foods that are growing beneath their feet. After a morning of foraging, Mark will serve a light picnic or BBQ lunch, before everyone ventures to another location for a further afternoon of foraging.

Following this, guests will return to Mark’s home with foraged fayre, to enjoy a six-course meal with wine, prepared and cooked at his kitchen table and hosted by Miles.

The Hix & Wild experiences would suit a variety of events, whether it’s to celebrate a special occasion, for a corporate event, or simply as an informative and enjoyable day out with friends.

Each event costs £4,400 (including VAT) and includes all food and drink and a goody bag. Excludes transport. Local accommodation can be recommended on request.
