Stay the night

As the jewel in the crown of the chef-restaurateur’s small Cornish empire, Paul Ainsworth at No 6 is a Michelin-starred dining experience that showcases modern British cooking at its best.

Ainsworth learnt his craft working with legends Gary Rhodes, Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing, before honing his signature style at this Georgian townhouse.

Intimate, romantic and delivering impeccable standards of service, Paul Ainsworth at No 6 sets a gastronomic benchmark in the South West.

Start with an aperitif and a pintxo or two at the upstairs bar (named after Paul’s daughter Ci Ci) before taking a seat in the main restaurant with its views of the kitchen, or at a table in the Florence Parker private dining room. In both locations, the food takes centre-stage.

Using only the finest local produce, No6 offers guests a personalised menu and showstopping dishes that look as good as they taste. All Of The Pigeon is a prime example: using everything from the beak to the tail, Anjou birds are aged, roasted, rested, confited, blended and caramelised to culinary perfection.

Brined and roasted wild turbot is rich, fresh and fragrant, while Paul’s crapaudine beetroot topped with aged Kaluga Reserve caviar is deliciously decadent.
