Noah’s

Seafood in the city

1 Brunel Lock Road, Bristol, BS1 6XS

Chef(s) Dan Rosser

Book ahead for the monthly Seafood over Coals evening

At first glance, Noah’s looks like an excellent fish and chip restaurant. Spend a little longer looking at the menu and you’ll discover it’s one of Bristol’s most accomplished seafood kitchens, built around outstanding produce and refreshingly unfussy cooking.

Owners Dan and Joie Rosser work closely with dayboats and fish markets to source exceptional seafood, with line-caught Cornish haddock often making the journey from Newlyn to the fryer in little more than 24 hours. Elsewhere, the menu changes according to the day’s catch, celebrating fish and shellfish prepared simply to let its quality speak for itself.

Whether it’s squid or South Coast cuttlefish with mojo rojo, or Cornish ray wing roasted on the bone with brown butter, capers and lemon, the cooking is confident without unnecessary complication.

The riverside setting adds to the restaurant’s easygoing appeal, and a covered, heated terrace makes outdoor dining possible throughout the year.
