In honour of the restaurant’s 50th anniversary, Rick and Jack have brought together a special four-course Taste of 50 Years menu at The Seafood Restaurant that celebrates the very best dishes served over the decades. For lunchtime dining, the set lunch menu (three courses and a glass of wine for £40) showcases vibrant flavours including local wild garlic, samphire, pan-fried Cornish hake, cockles and more.

The Seaside Boarding House Invites is a series of whistlestop residencies, with each guest chef joining The Seaside Boarding House team in the kitchen for one day, cooking a set menu for a 60-cover dinner. This autumn sees Elliot Hashtroudi from one of London’s hottest restaurants, Camille, (September 20), Dan Murray from Soho’s The Palomar (October 18) and food writer and activist Olia Hercules on November 15. On October 16, The Clockspire will host Craft & Cellar: a four-course dinner with perfectly paired wines in collaboration with Sherborne’s Drinksmith wine bar. Then on November 20, the restaurant enjoys another collaboration with one of Somerset’s top producers – announced in early October.
