Alfresco seafood spoils at WestBeach Restaurant

From its smart deck overlooking Bournemouth Beach, family-owned WestBeach Restaurant guarantees dining with a sea view.

That’s not the only show in town, however, as the open kitchen also gives diners the chance to watch head chef Victoria Hall and team as they craft flavourful creations from topnotch ingredients.

Fresh fish and seafood are the stars of the show and the fishermen’s catch from local waters around Bournemouth and Poole form the (sea)lion’s share of the enticing menu. Choose from crowd-pleasers such as plump steaming mussels cooked in Thai spices, tiger prawns with dijon mustard, and cajun-spiced halloumi with green mojo sauce. And, of course, there’s no shame in embracing the classic British fave of golden beer-battered haddock and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce.

Early risers can stop by for a hearty breakfast of WestBeach poached eggs on English muffins with smoked salmon and hollandaise. The award-winning restaurant is home to Bournemouth’s first (and only) Enomatic wine dispenser, so diners can sample a pleasing range of really good wines by the glass.
