Rising Sun Inn

Standing in the shadow of Bodmin Moor, the Rising Sun Inn is a destination worth seeking out. Its owners, Tim and Terri Kendall, have created a place where thoughtful cooking and warm hospitality encourage visitors to linger a little longer.

The kitchen champions seasonal Cornish produce with an approach that’s rooted in the region but also looks further afield. Alongside an evolving à la carte menu, a seasonal set menu offers another way to experience Tim’s ingredient-led cooking.

Cornish ray wing with house XO sauce, asparagus and fries sits comfortably alongside Cornish hake in a fragrant goan curry inspired by Tim’s time at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow. Desserts are every bit as considered, with dark chocolate parfait, chocolate crémeux, brownie and dulce de leche delivering a rich finale.
