Star-quality escapism
Lympstone Manor, Michael Caines’ glamorous Devon retreat, has quickly established itself as one of the most desirable destinations for fine‑dining enthusiasts in the UK.
In just five years, the award‑winning hotel overlooking the Exe Estuary has become the epitome of comfort, exclusivity and luxury.
At the heart of the experience is Michael’s Michelin-starred cooking which is artfully matched with wines from Lympstone’s world‑class cellar.
Guests get to choose from tasting and à la carte menus in one of three stunning dining rooms, each named after views across the estuary: Powderham, Mamhead and Berry Head.
Those staying the night can prepare for a sumptuous supper with a soak in their own outdoor bath (with views of the gardens and estuary) and an aperitif from the in‑room gin tray. Post‑dinner delights include a sundowner at The Pool House Restaurant & Bar while watching the fading embers of the day over the Haldon Hills.
The five‑star country house hotel’s other attractions include six shepherd’s huts, beautiful suites and rooms, tennis courts and a sculpture garden. From 2023, guests will be able to raise a flute of Michael’s own Lympstone Manor Cuvée crafted from grapes grown on his 11‑acre vineyard. The first vintage, a Triassic Pinot Noir, is already available to sample on the wine list.
