Great British Menu veteran Jude Kereama brought his restaurants together under one roof this year, moving Kota into its sister site at Kota Kai.

In this chapter, the restaurant retains its status as the go-to spot for phenomenal dining in Porthleven – now within a new, intimate private dining space overlooking the harbour.

Jude’s daily changing four-course menu blends his Maori and Chinese-Malay heritage with his love for Cornwall. It remains produce-led with an emphasis on supporting local suppliers.

Dishes may include gurnard ceviche with langoustine tiger milk and kataifi-wrapped langoustine tail, and hake with charred leeks, mussels, saffron and lemongrass and makrut lime leaf espuma. Locally reared meats shine in the likes of Phillip Warren beef fillet with short rib, szechuan ginger carrot and crispy shallot.

Kota’s Best Bar List award is reflected in a drinks list spanning some of the world’s most exciting wine regions. A large selection is available by the glass, alongside cocktails including the Wakame Seaweed Vodka Martini.
