Celebrate the holiday season at one of Prawn on the Lawn’s festive events. On December 4, Ben Tonks from Dartmouth’s Seahorse Restaurant joins the team for a one-night kitchen takeover to cook up a seafood feast. Roll up your sleeves and tuck into local crab on December 7 at the Crab Feast and round off the year at the returning Truffle Fest ’25 at sister vineyard site Barnaby’s on New Year’s Eve for a day of truffle-spiked feasting.

Ardor, St Ives

Step into winter with Ardor’s Sunday lunch menu, served between 12-3 pm, featuring new roasts including dry-aged beef, rotisserie chicken and slow-roasted duroc pork belly with all the trimmings. Festivities begin on November 14 with the Festive Fiesta Menu. Start with two tapas followed by a Josper-grilled main with a side, and finish with churros.

Join Lympstone Manor on November 20 to celebrate the release of Beaujolais Nouveau – start with canapes and a glass of fizz, followed by dinner in the Pool House with a menu designed by Michael Caines. Finally, round off the year at the New Year’s Eve House Party on December 31, which includes an eight-course tasting menu, wines, champagne and a firework display over the estuary.

For winter feasting, head to The Millbrook Inn on November 21 for Steak & Good Company with chef Elly Wentworth to indulge in Fowlescombe shorthorn, carved to share and book-ended with a starter and dessert. On December 5, get the gang together for The Calm Before the Carols – three seasonal courses, no tinsel and no turkey. Get festive at the Christmas Chocolate Workshop on December 17, where you’ll be greeted with a glass of fizz, make your own chocolates and sip mulled cider.

Harry’s Restaurant, Exeter

Fowlescombe Farm, near Ivybridge

On December 10, this regenerative farm in Devon is hosting a Carols with the Cows evening, which begins with song in the barns and ends with a winter feast in the Greenhouse. Fireside winter cocktails are followed by meat from surrounding fields and vegetables from the garden, cooked over flame by chef Elly Wentworth and enjoyed on long, jolly tables.

Le Vin Perdu, Ashburton

Spend your December Friday nights in Paul’s Bar at Le Vin Perdu, where Paul will be shaking cocktails, pouring wine and serving bar snacks from 5:30 pm. For bistro-inspired festivities, visit the restaurant on December 20 to indulge in the Rotisserie Duck Feast – a three-course set menu where the star of the show is a rotisserie duck a la orange served with duck fat potatoes and a mustard vinaigrette. On New Year’s Eve at Le Vin Perdu, clink your glasses and enjoy fresh oysters and roasted duck around candle-lit tables, greeting the new year with a touch of French class.
